The ocean. Truly an alien planet on its own, teeming with strange new creatures and beautiful environments.

Then why do I fear it? Well, because it IS an alien planet. If the most impervious technology can be crushed by the immense pressures of the deepest of depths, were we always meant to see it? If the strongest light cannot pierce the veil of the dark fog in the ocean, was it ever meant to be seen? And even then, what is there to see? Nothing but vast,

never-ending deserts. The creatures below are unknown, their appearances only visible to our own imaginations. Considering that the ocean is deeper than Everest's height, who's to say that legendary creatures like the Leviathan do not really exist? Let's not even get into being smack in the middle of the sea. Grim Reaper, choosing whether you live or die. Compared to swimming in a pool or at shore, where you can simply stand up or jump to get out, doing either pushes you further down. There is no corner that you can grab onto to climb up to safety. You either swim or die. There is no other option. But who knows, maybe I'm just crazy.
